Answer with Explanation:

The song economy was characterized by:

 • a massive land area for plowing and raising crops - Barren lands were claimed by people and the government persuaded them to cultivate these areas. Innovations regarding farm tools, fertilizers and other related things were made.
 • great technological advancement such as printing of paper money - The government realized the importance of printing paper money and soon the workforce in this industry grew. At this time, the value of the paper money was only limited to particular regions, thus it was only limited to be used within 3 years.
 • allowing the competitive industries to prosper - Competitive industry was strengthened such as silk mills and workshops that made shuttle-woven fabrics and the like

My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

Explanation:

"The Star-Spangled Banner" is the national anthem of the United States based on a poem written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key after observing the British Royal Navy ships bombing at Baltimore Harbor at Fort MacHenry. What he means in that part of the poem is that the loss of lives during the battlefield is something expected during the war. According to him, wars themselves are inevitable and people must be brave enough to take part in them to gain their freedom. Because of that sublime goal, he believes people who join war are glorious.

In Scramble for Africa, what enabled counties to take more land than others? (25 POINTS)
sasho [114]

The Scramble for Africa was the occupation, division, and colonization of African territory by European powers during the period of the New Imperialism, between 1881 and 1914. It is also called the Partition of Africa and the Conquest of Africa by some. In 1870, only 10 percent of Africa was under formal European control; by 1914 it had increased to almost 90 percent of the continent, with only Ethiopia (Abyssinia) and Liberia still being independent. With the Italian occupation of Ethiopia in 1936, only Liberia remained independent. There were multiple motivations including the quest for national prestige, tensions between pairs of European powers, religious missionary zeal[citation needed] and internal African native politics. The Berlin Conference of 1884, which regulated European colonisation and trade in Africa, is usually referred to as the ultimate point of the Scramble for Africa.[1] Consequent to the political and economic rivalries among the European empires in the last quarter of the 19th century, the partitioning, or splitting up of Africa was how the Europeans avoided warring amongst themselves over Africa. The later years of the 19th century saw the transition from "informal imperialism" by military influence and economic dominance, to direct rule, bringing about colonial imperialism.
