The form that a verb takes to ask a question is indicative. You use just the regular forms of a verb to ask the question, as in this example: What do you need? Subjunctive mood is used when talking about possibilities, or wishes, as in "I wish you would stop doing that," where "you would stop" is subjunctive. Imperative is the form you use to give orders, such as in" Close the door!"
