Since "magnanimity" means "generosity", and a "magnate" is a person of great influence, maybe by becoming a philanthropist, or giving some money to charity will he be able to show such generosity.

Below are works-cited entries for a book in print with more than two authors. Select the one that is completely correct.
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

The correct answer is ENTRY C.

Explanation:

"et"= and (since it is a complete word you don't need a full stop)

"al." = others (you must include the full stop because this is an abbreviation)

"et al." is a latin abbreviation that means "and others".

We use it when acknowlegding a text that has more than two authors. So, if there is less than two authors don't use it! Entry C has the correct punctuation, although options may vary depending on the referencing format that you are required to use as a guideline.

Entry A is incorrect. Because in the world of academic language we try to avoid "and others" when referencing.

Entry B is incorrect. Because "et" doesn't take a full stop since it is a complete word.

Entry D is incorrect. Because after the name of the author you should include a comma, unless you use "et al." for an in-text citation.

What makes lines 12-13 an example of situational irony
faust18 [17]

Incomplete question. I provided an explanation about irony in literature.

Explanation:

Situational Irony is a literary device used by an author to express an action in the plot of a story that is totally different from what the reader would expect.

For example, a protagonist (the leading character) in a story with so much life in one story unexpectedly and tragically died. This is ironic because the reader would naturally expect the protagonist to save the day.
