Hey!!

here is your answer >>>

Our Earth is divided into different latitudes!. These latitudes are divided based on amount of sunlight receiving!. Our Earth is spherical in shape!(basically it's curved) . At the Polar zone , the sunlight touches and Earth surface and then spreads away and it is a semi circle there. So it is the coldest zone!. In temperate zone the sun rays spreads lightly, making it temperate climate, but the tropical zone, the sunlight hits the surface like a focus, making this done the hottest!. So scientist can therefore use the evidence if the latitudes control to get to know about the climate of the area!.

Hope my answer helps;

What living systems have distinct structures and sets of functions? Be sure to refer to class notes for
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

Cells.

Explanation:

A cell can be defined as the structural, fundamental, biological and functional unit of life. Cells are found in all living organisms because they are the basic unit of life.

Generally, cells have the ability to independently replicate themselves. These cells can be compared to the kind of structures found in a business or factory, where you have different workers performing different functions.

In a cell, the "workers" that perform various functions or tasks for the survival of the living organism are referred to as organelles.

Factory worker = Cell organelle.

1. Chief executive officer = Nucleus.

  • The nucleus controls all the activities taking place in the cell and the synthesis of proteins.

2. Power house = Mitochondrion.

  • The mitochondria provides all the energy required in the cell by transforming energy forms.

3. Maintenance team = Lysosomes.

  • They are responsible for absorbing materials and breaking the materials taken in by the cells.

4. Functional managers = Chromosomes.

  • They give sets of instructions for the synthesis of products.

5. Assembly line workers = Ribosomes.

  • They are involved in the build up of proteins.

6. Assembly line = Endoplasmic Reticulum.

  • This is where the ribosomes perform their tasks.

7. Security and support = Cytoskeleton.

  • They help to maintain and support the shape of the cells.

8. Drivers or messengers = Vesicles.

  • They ensure proteins are properly transported to the right and exact location.

9. Packaging unit = Golgi apparatus.

  • Prepares the protein for export by chemically tagging them.

10. Gate man/procurement unit = Cell membrane.

  • It is the wall of the cell and typically controls what leaves and enters the cell.

Hence, cells are living systems that have distinct structures and sets of functions.

The generation of _______ occurs by chemiosmosis. DNA RNA NADP ATP
zavuch27 [327]

Answer;

ATP.

The generation of ATP occurs by Chemiosmosis.

Explanation;

In the electron transport chain, hydrogen ions in the matrix space can only pass through the inner mitochondrial membrane through a membrane protein called ATP synthase.

As these protons move through ATP synthase, ADP is turned into ATP.

The production of ATP using the process of chemiosmosis in mitochondria is called oxidative phosphorylation.

Which of the reactions of photosynthesis require pigments absorbing solar energy?
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

During photosynthesis, a green pigment called chlorophyll is required to absorb solar energy. The reaction in photosynthesis that requires pigments to absorb solar energy is called LIGHT REACTION.

Explanation:

Light reaction is considered to be the first stage or phase during photosynthesis and the key elements that is needed for the reaction to take place is- sunlight and chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is a pigment that makes the leaves of the plant appear green. There is also another important function of chlorophyll that is to trap solar energy during the process of photosynthesis to convert the trapped solar energy into chemical energy- ATP molecules. These ATP molecules then form glucose- food for the plant.

Some organisms can create a sodium motive force by pumping sodium ions across a membrane using the energy of an electron transpo
juin [17]

Answer:

In order for the sodium motive force to provide useful energy for the cell the organism must contain sodium ion gradient or potential across the membrane.

Explanation:

If the concentration of sodium is high in the inter membrane space than that of matrix then a sodium gradient is generated across the inner mitochondrial membrane.

    The transport of sodium ions from inter membrane space to matrix through the sodium ion channel result in the generation of sodium motive force,that is used to provide energy to the cell.
