Which is an example of how transportation influenced the First Industrial Revolution in the United States?

History

Answer:

D

Explanation:

The other answers discuss other effects of transportation, mainly in people's life. But D is the one that explicitly refers to the industrial revolution. Railroads streamlined the process of textile production and stimulated the growth of the industry and cotton production, allowing producers to save time.

The growth of the textile industry also meant that much more cotton was needed and faster than before. The machines to spin it also improved, but slavery became even more brutal than before because cotton was increasingly profitable.

What were three of the major challenges that the constitutional convention delegates faced, and how was each resolved
melisa1 [442]

Here are three major challenges faced by the delegates at the constitutional convention:

1) Representation in Congress- States with larger population wanted more representatives in Congress based on their population. States with smaller populations wanted each state to have the same amount of representatives. Ultimately, the Great Compromise would solve this problem by creating the House of Representatives and the Senate. The House of Representatives would have representation based on a states population whilte the Senate would have 2 Senators from each state, regardless of population.

2) Slavery and population numbers- Some states wanted slaves to count towards the population while other states did not. This resulted in the development of the 3/5ths Compromise, in which every 5 slaves would count as 3 people towards population.

3) Rights of citizens- Many Anti federalists were worried that the new federal government would severely limit the rights of citizens. This is why a Bill of Rights was created, to outline what rights American citizens were entitled to.
