Answer:

I think the answer is $120

Step-by-step explanation:

For every full tile it is $2.50

Which is the inverse of the function f(x) = 4x2
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

\sqrt{\frac{x}{4}}  and  -\sqrt{\frac{x}{4}}

Step-by-step explanation:

The function is given as  f(x)=4x^2

<em>to find inverse, we follow the steps shown below:</em>

<em>1. write "y" in place of "f(x)"</em>

<em>2. interchange "x" and "y"</em>

<em>3. solve for the new "y"</em>

<em>4. replace y with f^-1(x)</em>

<em />

Let's do this:

f(x)=4x^2\\y=4x^2\\x=4y^2\\y^2=\frac{x}{4}\\y=+-\sqrt{\frac{x}{4}}

These 2 are the inverse functions.

Let’s do 3x - 8 ≤ 23 first.

You need to rearrange this so that x is on its own.

+8 to both sides

3x ≤ 31

/3 on both sides

x ≤ 31/3

Then the second, -4x + 26 ≥ 6

-26 from both sides

-4x ≥ -20

/-4 on both sides

x ≥ 5

So x is greater than or equal to 5, which can also be written as 5 ≤ x

And for the first one, x is less than or equal to 31/3, which can still be written as x ≤ 31/3, so your final answer is:

5 ≤ x ≤ 31/3

12x−39≤9 AND−4x+3&lt;−6, just solving for x<br><br> please answer ASAP
kari74 [83]

<u>Answer:</u>

Solving for x in 12x − 39 ≤ 9 and −4x + 3 < −6 we get 2.25 < x ≤ 4

<u>Solution</u>:

Need to find the value of x which satisfies following two given expressions

12x − 39 ≤ 9      ------(1)

−4x + 3 < −6     ------ (2)

Lets first solve expression (1)

12x − 39 ≤ 9

Adding 39 on both sides , we get

12x−39 + 39  ≤ 9  +39

=>12x ≤ 48

=> x  ≤ 48/12

=> x ≤ 4

Now solving expression (2)

−4x+3<−6

=> -4x < -6 – 3

=> -4x < -9

=> 4x > 9

=> x > 9/4

=> x > 2.25

So from solution of expression (1) and (2) , we get x ≤ 4   and x > 2.25

Hence required value of x is 2.25 < x ≤ 4.
