Hey!

In order to solve this problem we must graph out the equation. Below this answer I have attached an image that contains the equation graphed.

Graphs three and four are far from representing the graph below, so these are incorrect.

Graph one looks almost similar to the graph represented below but it is not exact.

So, this means that the correct answer is graph 2.

Hope this helps!

The product of a number and 7, increased
by three.
katovenus [111]

Answer:

7x+3

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there!

Let "a number" equal x.

The product is the answer to a multiplication problem. If we're talking about the product of a number and 7, we're talking about multiplying them:

7x

Now, increasing by 3 just means we need to add 3:

7x+3

I hope this helps!

Need help on this !!!!!!
grin007 [14]

Answer:

y = 3x + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

y = mx + b where m= slope and b= y-intercept

the y-intercept is the point where x=0 or where the line crosses the y-axis.

This happens at (0,3) on the graph, so the y-intercept, or b, is equal to 3.

for m, slope can be defined as rise/run. So starting from a point you are given on the graph (-1,-2), count the number of spaces up you rise and how many you must go over (run) to get to the next point (0,3)

if you count, you should rise from (-1,-2) 5 spaces and move to the right (run) 1 space to get to (0,3).

rise/run = 3/1

3/1 = 3

the slope is 3.

now that you have the slope and the y-intercept, you can just plug it into the equation

y = 3x + 3

The midpoint of a line segment is (−1,6) . One endpoint of the line segment is (4,−7) .
pogonyaev

Answer:

The other coordinate is (-6,19)

Step-by-step explanation:

m = ( \frac{x1 + x2}{2} , \frac{y1 + y2}{2} )

(4,-7)

(x,y)

[(4+x)/2 , (-7+y)/2] = (-1,6)

(4 + x)/2 = -1

4 + x = -2

× = -6

(-7 + y)/2 = 6

-7 + y = 12

y = 19

What is the volume of the composite figure?
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

748 in^3.

Step-by-step explanation:

This consists of a triangular prism and a rectangular cuboid .

Volume of the prism = .1/2 * 8 *11 * 17 = 748 in^3

Volume of the cuboid = 5*8*17 = 680 in^3

Therefore the volume of the whole figure

= 680 + 748 = 1428 in^3.
