The two components of weaving are warp and weft. The warp is the lengthwise yarns through which the weft is woven. The weft is the yarn which is drawn under and over parallel warp yarns to form fabric.
Weaving refers to the production of fabric through the interlacing of two different yarns. They are supposed to cross each other, usually at right angles, with a loom, which can be either used by hand or be power-operated.
Warp (lengthwise yarns) and weft (crosswise yarns) are the two basic components used in weaving to make fabric out of yarn.
