Conventional:
- Members are payed to play in the orchestra.
- Orchestras usually contain only string instruments, but there are Symphony Orchestras where there are a large variety of instruments. (Brass, Woodwind, String, and Percussion.)
- Not usually taught in schools.

Concert:
- Taught in schools.
- Members do not get payed to play, but pay to play.
- Concert band does not contain string instruments.

Marching Band:
-Taught in schools.
- Members are not usually paid.
- Only contains brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.
