Answer:

The number of sprites old   =  19

The number of cokes sold   = 57

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume the number of sprites sold = m

So, the number of cokes sold =  3  times (Number of sprites) =3 x (m) = 3 m

Also, the total number of sodas sold  = 76

⇒ The number of (Sprites + coke) sold = 76

or, m +  3  m = 76

⇒ 4  m = 76

⇒ m = 76 / 4 = 1 9

or, m = 19

Hence the number of sprites old  = m = 19

And the number of cokes sold  =  3 m = 3  x 19 = 57

Find the value of z, secant and tangent angles
NeTakaya

Answer:

z = 110

Step-by-step explanation:

The measure of an angle created by the intersection of two secants outside a circle is half the difference of the angles it intercepts. In this it would be:

2x + 15 = 1/2 * (10x + 20 - 80)

We can now solve:

4x + 30 = 10x - 60

30 = 6x - 60

6x = 90

x = 15

This means the values of 10x + 20 is 10(15) + 20, which is 170.

Now, we can add up all the arcs in a circle, which sum to 360 degrees:

360 = z + 170 + 80

360 = z + 250

z = 110

Suppose you have 20 coins that total $4.some coins are nickles and sime are quarters .which of the following pairs of equations
Monica [59]
So 1 nickle=5 cents
1 quarter=25 sents

q=number of quarters
n=number of nickles so

total is
q+n=20
5n+25q=400 (since 100 cents=1 dollar and 4 dollares=400 cents)

SO THE 2 EQUATIONS WOULD BE
n+q=20
5n+25q=400

so q+n=20
subtract q from both sides
n=20-q
subsitute 20-q for n in the second equation
5(20-q)+25q=400
distribute
100-5q+25q=400
add like terms
100+20q=400
subtract 100 from both sides
20q=300
divide both sides by 20
q=15

thhere are 15 quarters

subsitute 15 for q in first equation

15+n=20
subtract 15 from both sides
n=5

5 nickles
15 quarters
