Draw a circle.

Split the circle into 5 sections. This represents the 5 inches.

Fill in 2 of those sections, those represent the reduction in height.

Count the empty sections. 5 -2 = 3 sections

Now you find the percent. 3/5 = 60%

An integer 3a5b can be divided by 5 and 6, what is the value of a + b.
ratelena [41]

Answer:

a + b = 1 or 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The integer = 3a5b

The factors of the integer includes 5 and 6

∴ 5 × 6 = 30 is a factor of the integer hence 10 is also a factor which gives b = 0

We check for factors of four digit numbers with the first digit = 3, last digit = 0, penultimate to the last digit = 5 and divisible by 30

We have a50 divisible by 30, which gives, a5 divisible by 3 which includes

15 and 45 hence a can be 1 or 4 and a + b = 1 + 0 = 1 or  4 + 0 = 4.

What is the sum? 3k/k^2+k-7/4K
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

  \dfrac{k^2+5k}{4k^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

A suitable common denominator is 4k^2. (This eliminates the first and last choices.)

\dfrac{3k}{k^2}+\dfrac{k-7}{4k}=\dfrac{4(3k)}{4(k^2)}+\dfrac{k(k-7)}{k(4k)}\\\\=\dfrac{12k+k^2-7k}{4k^2}=\boxed{\dfrac{k^2+5k}{4k^2}}
