How does human development of land affect the carrying capacity in a given area for species other than humans

Biology

Answer:

It can negatively or positively influence organisms living nearby.

Explanation: Say humans were logging a forest...that would have a negative impact on the surrounding organisms. Birds could lose nests, lower plants could lose shade, burrows could be uprooted. On the other hand, say a wildlife bridge was developed over a highway. This could provide more room for organisms to make home, and create a safe way for them to cross the road.

Overall, I'd say there are more negative impacts than there are positive as we much more frequently ar clearing entire environments to make more room for people to live. This, in turn, lowers the carrying capacity of the affected environments.
