Answer:

Law Of Independent Assortment.

Explanation:

This is the Mendel's second law. It states that during gamete formation, the way one pair of alleles for a given character distributes itself in the gametes does not affect the way other allelic pairs(for other characteristics), distribute themselves. This however, only applies to allelic pairs on different homologous chromosomes. And as a result, this law may not be stated on the following way: alleles on different chromosomes assort independently during meiosis(gamete formation).

Answer:

B is correct

Explanation:

This is because in DNA, purines (A and G), pair with pyrimidines (C and T), and  more specifically, adenine pairs with thymine and cytosine pairs with guanine. Per this base pairing, B should be the right answer.

Why is it likely that MOST speciation is allopatric?
LenKa [72]

Answer:

e. Because gene flow between populations prevents genetic divergence in sympatry.

Explanation:

Speciation requires genetic divergence between populations of a species to isolate them reproductively. however, when present in the same habitat, gene flow between populations of a species does not allow their reproductive isolation and thereby, prevents the formation of new species. These populations need strong episodes of disruptive selection for their reproductive isolation.

On the other hand, two geographically isolated populations can not interbreed and thus, there is no gene flow between them leading to their genetic divergence and speciation. So, allopatric speciation is more common than sympatric one.
