Answer:

A. x = −2.8, 0.6, −3.7

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)=g(x)

2x+5=x^3-3x^2-4x+12

f(x)=g(x) is at the points where the two curves intersect.

(0,2) and (-2, -12) because those are all the x-axis values.

If  you have the graph, the intersection of the 2 lines is the set of values that satisfy the equation (the x value is the answer)
I graphed useing desmos graphing to get the attached graph

the intersection points were
x=-2.78, 0.86, 2.91
the one that is the closest is none of them, I would go with the first one

Solve equation x(x-2) (x- 1) =0
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

<h2>x = 0 or x = 1 or x = 2</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>The product is 0 if one of the factors is 0.</em>

x(x - 2)(x - 1) = 0\iff x=0\ \vee\ x-2=0\ \vee\ x-1=0\\\\(1)\ x=0\\\\(2)\ x-2=0\qquad\text{add 2 to both sides}\\.\qquad x=2\\\\(3)\ x-1=0\qquad\text{add 1 to both sides}\\.\qquad x=1

What is the solution to 3|–3x + 9| = –18?
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

x=5 and x=1

Step-by-step explanation:

3 |-3x + 9| = -18

/3 /3

|-3x + 9| = -6

-3x + 9 = -6 -3x + 9 = 6

-9 -9 -9 -9

-3x = -15 -3x = -3

/-3 /-3 /-3 /-3

x = 5 and x = 1
