x^2 m^2+(x+3)^2 m^2=89 m^2

x^2+x^2+9+6x=89

2x^2+6x-80=0

x^2+3x-40=0

x^2+8x-5x-40=0

x(x+8)-5(x+8)=0

(x+8)(x-5)=0

x= -8, 5

Rejecting the negative value.

x = 5 m

Length of smaller square room = 5 m

Length of bigger square = (5 + 3 )m= 8 m
