I'm not sure what era of wars you're referring to, but I can give you a fairly general answer.
War on land tends to be more difficult due to the terrain. There are mountains and valleys, soldiers have to walk great distances to get to their destination if their vehicles cannot handle the landscape, and there's always the possibility of guerrilla warfare (hiding in the bushes, attacking and running away) from the other army.
While war at sea can be treacherous, it also lends itself to finding the target easier. Water tends to try to remain level, so there aren't any hills or valleys to contend with, and a telescope can see for miles on the open sea.
If you can give a specific war you're referring to, I could try and give you a more specific answer.

The local grocery store in a small city is the only option for its residents, so it has a monopoly on the grocery business there
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

limit output but let the prices rise

Explanation:

Based on the information provided within the question it can be said that the most likely course of action would be to limit output but let the prices rise. This is because in basic economics an increase in demand without an increase in supply causes prices to rise. Therefore by limiting output you make sure everyone is able to purchase but prices will still rise because of the lack of supply.

What is a common goal of qualitative and quantitative research?
pishuonlain [190]

Answer:

to determine the casual relationships between social elements (option b).

Explanation:

When we are talking about qualitative research, we are talking about research that deals less with calculations or even no calculations at all (or we can say that it deal less with numerical values), and this type of research involves more or seek to extract information more from how people behave. Qualitative research can be in form of questionnaires, observations and so on.

And, talking about the quantitative type of research we are talking more about the collection of data that deals more with calculations (numbers).

So, the common goal of qualitative and quantitative research is that of option 'b'; ''to determine the casual relationships between social elements".
