<u>A)</u> Militarism is a tendency to expand military culture and ideals in areas outside the military structure, such as private business, government policy, education, and entertainment.

Nationalism  is the rise of a certain sense of belonging to a culture, a region, a language and a people, or, in some nationalist arguments, a race.

<u>B)</u> The exacerbation of European nationalism's, manipulated by their respective governments as a means of gaining popular adherence to the cause of war. It is also necessary to consider the nationalism of the populations that were under the yoke of the Austro-Hungarian Empire or the Russian Empire and longed for independence.
