The Bayley Scales places an infant or a toddler in the developmental stage for his or her age. Currently, there is the Bayley-III scales which are improvenments on the Bayley-I and Bayley-II. There are now five areas that are tested and these are cognitive depth, language ability, motor skills, social-emotional interaction, and adaptive behavior to new environment.
