Answer:

A phenomenon that demonstrates this selectivity is called perceptual set.

Explanation:

Perceptual set is the tendency one has to see what he/she wants to see. To view things a certain way, ignoring other details regarding it. It can be due to the individual's sensitivity towards certain information.

In this case, we can see people are selective about what they attend to and understand, not seeing the full picture but rather what they want to see.

Answer: Treat others in the same way that Christ treated people with love, patience, and wisdom.

Explanation: No one can become like Christ was on earth, but we can learn from the things he said and did. One way to show that Christ lives in me and something that other believers can adapt is to imitate his way of being. Christ did not judge anyone, but he brought the good news. Christ received everyone with love and this is something we can do. We are not perfect but we can do better than we have been doing.

What even was considered a short-term cause of world war 1
ExtremeBDS [4]
If I understand correctly, you need an example of a short term cause of WW1 (there was more than one of course!)

The most direct cause of WW1 was the assassination of the Austrian Crown Prince Francis Ferdinand in Sarajevo in 1918 by Serbian Rebels. Serbia was supported by Russia, so this led to a conflict between Austria and Russia.

Another direct cause for WW1 was the ultimatum by Austria to the Serbs which followed this assassination, which included some demands that were hard for Serbia to accept, and which included the intervention of Austria into Serbian internal affairs (such as into Serbian police work).

These (and some other) short-term causes, together with the long term causes, such as imperialism lead to the onset of WW1.
