Answer:

The fact that there would be large scale destruction and devastation throughout the world.

Explanation:

Though both the United States and the Soviet Union acquired powerful nuclear weapons during the Cold War, it was less likely that the two countries would ever use them.

The fact that nuclear weapons would wipe the whole existence on earth and would bring massive destruction was always feared by both the countries. It was a well established fact that full-scale nuclear war would be the end of the human race.

Also, the second strike capability and mutually assured destruction would undoubtedly wipe both the two countries if the war ever occur. Therefore, both US and the Soviet Union did not use any nuclear weapon against each other.

Why are latitude and longitude included on maps?
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

The answer is D.

Explanation:

Maps and globes usually have lines on them to help locate places on Earth. These lines are called latitude and longitude lines. These lines are not actually on the planet, but are imaginary lines used to help us find our way around the curved surface of Earth. Lines of latitude and longitude crisscross to form a grid. Hope this helps :).

List Thomas Paynes three major arguments and common sense
prohojiy [21]

Common Sense was an instant best-seller. Published in January 1776 in Philadelphia, nearly 120,000 copies were in circulation by April. Paine's brilliant arguments were straightforward. He argued for two main points: (1) independence from England and (2) the creation of a democratic republic. Paine avoided flowery prose. He wrote in the language of the people, often quoting the Bible in his arguments. Most people in America had a working knowledge of the Bible, so his arguments rang true. Paine was not religious, but he knew his readers were. King George was "the Pharaoh of England" and "the Royal Brute of Great Britain." He touched a nerve in the American countryside.
