Read the story description from the short story Hamadi and answer the question where is Susan the narrator in Hamadi from
Travka [436]

Answer:

The Middle East.

Explanation:

Naomi Shihab Nye's short story "Hamadi" is about Susan, the narrator, and the impact that Mr. Hamadi, an old family friend has on her life. The story also reveals the brave and important life lesson that life is beyond pain and suffering, as taught by Hamadi.

The narrator Susan is from the Middle East, as evidence by the lines, "Susan’s family had lived in Jerusalem for three years before she was ten..."

Thus, we can know that Susan and her family are from the Middle East.

What is one reason why Thomas Paine says that the time for independence is now?
zhannawk [14.2K]
In the book Common Sense, Thomas Paine says that the time for independence is now because the American colonies are young and united (c). At the beginning of the book, Thomas Paine argues for American independence from British rule. The book also begins with the theoretical discourse about governments and religion; the role both government and religion should play in the independent America. Interestingly enough, Paine argues that government has its roots in the evil of man. He sees governing structures as a necessary evil. These are interesting points to ponder.
