He was terrified that he would be punished for marrying a sacred tree.

Further Explanation:

In the beginning, there was no world, no land and no creatures which we see around us now and there were no men also. But there was ‘the Great Ocean’ which occupied ‘space’ as far as anyone could see. The story tells about a man who had a wife who was expecting a child but the women became hungry for all kinds of strange delicacies which generally women have when they are expecting a child and in order to find delicacies to eat, she kept her husband busy.

Suddenly, the world grew a ‘great tree’ which was not just like other trees and it was a tremendous tree which had grown there forever and this tree was not supposed to be mutilated by any of the beings who lived in the sky and then the women decided that she wants one of the branches of the tree and when she told her husband about this, he didn’t liked this ideas saying that it was wrong but when she insisted, he agreed to her demand but when he goes there for the branch, he gets to know that he had to marry that tree first and then he gets terrified that he will be punished by his wife if she gets to know that he has married a sacred tree.

Answer:

The correct answer is He was terrified that he would be punished for marring a sacred tree.

Explanation:

The story “The Earth on Turtle's Back” is based on the chief's wife dream. The dream was about a tree which was being uprooted. She tells the villagers and the chief about the dream. After her husband uprooted the tree, she looked at it and fell inside the hole. She was rescued by the animals. It is a story that shows the respect and affection that prople had for nature. That is the reason why her husband was terrified of being punished after marrying a sacred tree.

How does Tenzing Norgay develop events in "The Dream Comes True"?
nordsb [41]

Norgay started the narration about the climb from himself but then narration is shifted to Hillary’s climb and focus is on the events of Hillary’s incomplete account. Later he resumed the narration of the adventure providing pauses and bringing in Hillary time and again. It seems like the point is being made that the climb would not have been possible with anyone’s single efforts rather it was a joint effort regardless of whose step was the first step.
