Answer:

B One allele from each parent

Explanation:

You have dominant genes (brown eyes) and recessive genes (green eyes)

In order for a child to be born with brown eyes only one parent needs to have brown eyes. Having green eyes is recessive so either both parents need to have green eyes or neither of them needs to have them. But if one parent has green eyes and the other has brown eyes, then the brown eyed gene will almost always  dominate the green eyed one.

I hope this helps! :)

Answer:

D. In an ocean heated by volcanic activity

Explanation:

Most of Earth was covered in water, early organisms weren't evolved enough to walk on land at the time. There are some organisms that feed off of volcanic activity and use it as an energy resource and would adapt to the heat.

<em>"Hot spots create volcanoes on the seafloor. If these volcanoes rise above sea level to become islands, and if they occur in tropical waters, coral reefs will form on them. Since the volcanoes are cones, the reef forms in a circle around the volcano."</em>

<em>"Discovered only in 1977, hydrothermal vents are home to dozens of previously unknown species. Huge red-tipped tube worms, ghostly fish, strange shrimp with eyes on their backs and other unique species thrive in these extreme deep ocean ecosystems found near undersea volcanic chains."</em>

Describe what an enzyme is and how it works according to the lock and key model
Mila [183]
The Lock and Key Analogy of Enzymes and Substrates: Enzymes act as a catalyst in a given chemical reaction (for example, lactase allows lactose to break down into Glucose and Galactose); enzymes lower the amount of energy required to make a reaction occur. There is a key concept to this theory: Enzymes are designed work for only one reaction; there is only one key that fits the lock perfectly. Without enzymes, our bodies wouldn't be able to handle the amount of heat the reactions that occur inside if there weren't any enzymes (or the reactions just wouldn't occur! In the Lock and Key Analogy, the substrate (Lactose in the <span>example) is the "key".</span>
