Write a speech to the students of your school on the Topic "Saving our environment".
insens350 [35]

The word environment meant the conditions we live in. Our environment is being polluted. That means that our living conditions are going to get worse, unless we change things. For example, the burning of fossil fuels pollutes our atmosphere, raising temperatures around the world. This smoke can also be dangerous to humans. We are also filling our oceans with plastic. Some of this is microplastic, which are plastic pieces that are small enough to be swallowed by fish. If the animal that eats this survives, we might catch it and eat it, harming ourselves. These plastics can even be so small that we breathe it in without even knowing it. However, we can still fix this. By cleaning our oceans, slowly transitioning to clean energy like nuclear energy, or renewable energy, like solar power, we can avoid burning off the rest of our fossil fuels, and polluting our atmosphere. Scientists are working towards creating machines to pull pollutants out of our atmosphere, so that once we stop burning fossil fuels, we can remove what we already released. Our youths can make positive changes too. We could plant trees, which remove carbon from our atmosphere naturally, and we can petition for better regulation of fossil fuels, until our nations are prepared to completely stop burning  fossil fuels. Our environment is being threatened, and we need to stop its decline before we are too late.

Lyrx [107]

Answer:

... a spiritual aspect, as exemplified in "Phaedo" where Plato has Socrates argue that the self - the soul - is immaterial and immortal and survives our bodily death. He argues this on the basis that the soul can perceive non-material ideals that do not exist in this world.

Explanation:

Plato (428 BC-347 BC) was a Greek philosopher, considered one of the leading thinkers of his day. A disciple of Socrates, he sought to convey a deep faith in reason and truth by adopting Socrates' motto "the wise is the virtuous." He wrote several philosophical dialogues, including "The Republic", a work divided into ten volumes.

He was a teacher of Aristoteles, but unlike his student, Plato believed that human nature has a spiritual aspect, as exemplified in "Phaedo", where Plato has Socrates, argues that the self - the soul - is immaterial and immortal and survives. to our bodily death. He argues this based on the fact that the soul can perceive nonmaterial ideals that do not exist in this world.
