It was a very bad working environment. If their hands went the wrong way in gears they could loose their hand.

The working conditions weren't good at all. For example, the floor wasn't that great. It was wood so full of splinters and dirty and dusty. They weren't rich of course so most didn't have shoes.

They weren't paid enough. Since they were children they were payed a lot less than adults.

Children were the most busy ones because they had to go to school then straight to work, so they barley had any sleep. If you met those children or seen photos of them, you could see the very dark circles under their eyes.

How did republican values shape American life in the areas of the economy, family politics, and religion?
masya89 [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

Republican values shifted the economy to create a larger middle class and spread out the wealth more, even though there were still various private businesses/wealthy individuals. In the family, women had more standing in both society and the workforce. The traditional view that they stay home and do chores was shifting to them getting jobs and being educated. Political values shifted from a monarchy/theocracy to a Republican/democratic government. This also came with the shift of religious views, where people started to emphasize humanity and free will rather than God’s absolute/divine will.
