Answer: B; provide a strong focus for the topic

Explanation: This answer is correct because when writing a paper, your thesis statement goes in the first paragraph/introduction but your thesis statement should only give your audience a general understanding of what you will discuss, and then further into the paper you would further analyze the broad topic and break it down into your "strong focus"

The correct option is C) Adam finds Eve both annoying and confounding for her endless energy and curiosity.

The above mentioned question is in reference to Mark Twain's ' Extracts from Adam's Diary'.

In this parody, Mark Twain writes in the form of a diary which probably is Adams.

Adam describes about all the things which Eve is doing on the Earth which annoys him yet he does not say much to any of them such as:

 • Adam does not like Eve following her everywhere
 • Adam does not like Eve giving names to everything she sees.
 • Adam is annoyed that he doesn't get to name all of the things.

Match each excerpt from the passage with the tone it conveys.
Archy [21]

Answer:

Please, find answer in the attached document.

Explanation:

Opinion-based statements are usually on the basis of one's personal opinion or belief and not on facts. We can see that the author just gave his opinion, as seen in the first sentence in the table.

Critical refers to an analysis of something on the merits, demerits and faults. The second and last statements are clear examples of critical statement.

Informative refers to something which gives more information about another thing. Shaw winning the Nobel Prize is imformative because it informs the reader of the award Shaw received.
