Martin is studying sucrase activity. He added sucrose solution + sucrase solution + buffer of pH 5.6 in two tubes. He incubated

them at 350C and 1000C respectively. When he performed a confirmatory test, only the first test tube showed enzyme activity. How would you justify the inactivity of the enzyme in the second test tube?

I assume that second tube is under 100 degree celcius incubation. In the second tube case, the temperature is too high for the enzyme to properly functioning and most of cellular activities at this temperature will normally stop because the temperature is exceeding their maximum thermo threshold.

Although the Sun is much larger than the Moon, it does not exert as much gravitational pull
dexar [7]

Answer:

The Sun, just like the Moon and the Earth, also has its own gravity which can affect the tides. Although the Sun is much larger than the Moon and has more gravity, it's also much further away, meaning its pull on the tides is less than half as strong as the Moon's. It still does have an effect, though.

Explain how and when the rule of multiplication and the rule of addition can be used to determine the probability of an event. E
AysviL [449]

Answer:

Addition used for 'either or' events , Multiplication used for 'and' events

Explanation:

Addition is used when Probability is of 'one event or other event'

Multiplication is used when Probability is of 'one event & other event'

Ex : Probability of A winning = 0.4

Probability of B winning = 0.3

Probability (A or B winning) = 0.4 + 0.3 = 0.7

Probability (A & B winning) = 0.4 x 0.3 = 0.12

Which of these associations is not correct? seed coat-ovary wall radicle-roots plumule-leaves cotyledons-stored food?
Mars2501 [29]

Seed coat-ovary wall association is not correct.

The seed coat originates from the maternal tissue, that is, the integuments. It is one of the three components of a plant seed, in supplementation to the embryo and the endosperm. The aim of the seed coat is to safeguard the seed from temperature-related, physical or water destruction. It is a protective outer covering of the seed.

On the other hand, the ovary wall refers to the wall of the ovary of a flower that ultimately develops into a pericarp or fruit wall.
