I wrote this poem a while ago...like two years ago. I would like to fix it up and revise it. Could someone give me some feedback

on it?
The Internal Demons

Destroyed by the thoughts,
That give life to my fears.
Ruined by the assumptions,
True to my mind.
Shattered by the whispers,
Spilled into my ears.
Broken by the ideas,
Forged in the darkest time.
All of these, spoken to me,
Implanted into my head.
They spread like wildfire,
Burning, eating my sanity.
They root into my mind,
Seeping deep into my soul.
They growl larger, stronger,
Becoming harder to rid.
They block off other thoughts,
Hiding away the smiles.
But I cannot blame a soul,
This falls onto my shoulders.
I allow them to spread,
I give them access to my mind.
Access to my heart.
Now you must see,
They all belong to me,
The whispers and the screams.
They are my demons,
Forever, I must keep.
