Anna007 [38]

Let <em>h</em> represent the cost of hot dogs and <em>p</em> represent the cost of potato chips.

Customer 1: 4h + 5p = 15.50   ⇒   3(4h + 5p = 15.50)   ⇒   12h + 15p = 46.50

Customer 2: 3h + 2p = 9.00    ⇒  -4(3h + 2p = 9.00)   ⇒ <u>  -12h -  8p = -36.00</u>

                                                                                                         7p = 10.50

                                                                                                           p = 1.50

Customer 2: 3h + 2p = 9.00   →   3h + 2(1.50) = 9.00   →   3h + 3.00 = 9.00   →   3h = 6.00   →   h = 2.00

Answer: hot dog = $1.50, potato chips = $2.00

What is the equation if the line slope is 2/3 and the y-intercept is -3
lora16 [44]
<h2>The required equation of line is 2x - 3y - 9 = 0.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, slope(m) = \dfrac{2}{3} and y - intercept(c) = -3

To find, the required equation of line = ?

We know that,

The equation of a line with slope m and y-intercept c is given by

y = mx + c

∴ The required equation of line

y = \dfrac{2}{3}x + (- 3)

⇒ y = \dfrac{2}{3}x - 3

⇒ y + 3 = \dfrac{2}{3}x

⇒ 3(y + 3) = 2x

⇒ 3y + 9 = 2x

⇒ 2x - 3y - 9 = 0

Thus, the required equation of line is 2x - 3y - 9 = 0.

1- Name the Circle<br><br><br>3- Name Two Chords<br><br><br>5- Name a tangent
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

Name: Circle A

Chords: Chord DP, Chord HC

Tangent: EFG

Step-by-step explanation:

Name a circle by the center, in this case it's A.

Chord: A chord is a line only in the circle, not outside of it, and its endpoints are right on the circle.

Tangent of a circle: "Tangent" means touching, and this is a line, in terms of a circle, that touches the circle but is not INSIDE of the circle.
