Answer:

Both lactase and carbonic anhydrase are examples of enzymes. The enzymes are generally reaction specific or substrate-specific where an enzyme inhibits or catalyzes a reaction.

Lactase refers to an enzyme synthesized by various species. It plays an essential role in completing the digestion of whole milk, that is, it dissociates lactose, a sugar that provides milk its sweetness. Carbonate dehydratase or carbonic anhydrase refers to a kind of enzyme, which briskly catalyzes the transformation of carbon dioxide into a bicarbonate ion and a proton.

A nurse places a client with severe burns on a circulating air bed. what is the primary reason why the nurse implements this act
sergeinik [125]
The reason why the nurse implemented this method is to ease the pain of the patient. Because of the severe burn, any concentrated pressure on any part of the damage skin will be very painful to the patient. Thus, the major function of the circulating air bed is to distribute the weight of the patient uniformly so that no single contact point with the bed will press harder than any other.

Identify the 2 major groups of enzymes that make the redox reactions possible: Describe their role in these reactions.
adell [148]

Answer:Enzymes that makes redox reactions possible in a biochemical process includes those that help to catalyze the transfer of electrons, atoms, or functional groups.

Explanation:

Here are some class categories of these enzymes and their roles ;

• Oxidoreductases - Transfer of electrons (hydride ions or H atoms)

• Transferases - Group- transfer reactions

• Hydrolases - Hydrolysis reactions (transfer of functional groups to water)

• Lyases - Addition of groups to double bonds, or formation of double bonds by removal of groups Transfer of groups within molecules to yield isomeric forms

• Isomerases - Formation of C-C, C-S, C--0, and C-N bonds by condensation reactions coupled to ATP cleavage

The above are however classified, given code numbers, and assigned names according to the type of transfer reaction, the group donor, and the group acceptor.
