Answer:

\frac{9}{32}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Ratio of white shapes to black shapes is 5:11

Ratio of white circles to white squares is 3:7

Ratio of black circles to black squares is 3:8

To find: fraction of all the shapes that are circles

Solution:

As ratio of white shapes to black shapes is 5:11,

let number of white shapes be 5 k and number of black shapes by 11 k

As  ratio of white circles to white squares is 3:7,

Number of white circles = \frac{3}{10}(5k)=\frac{3}{2}k

Number of white squares = \frac{7}{10}(5k)=\frac{7}{2}k

As ratio of black circles to black squares is 3:8,

Number of black circles = \frac{3}{11} (11k)=3k

Number of black squares = \frac{8}{11}(11k)=8k

Total number of circles = \frac{3}{2}k+3k=\frac{9}{2} k

Total number of shapes = 5k+11k=16k

Therefore,

Fraction of circles =\frac{\frac{9}{2} k}{16k} =\frac{9}{32}

The paper is 16 cm by 34 cm to start with, so we started with area
.. (16 cm)*(34 cm) = 544 cm^2

A circle of diameter 16 cm has been removed. The area of that circle is
.. π*(d/2)^2 = 3.14*(16 cm/2)^2 = 200.96 cm^2

Then the area of the paper that remains is
.. 544 cm^2 -200.96 cm^2
.. = 343.04 cm^2

What is .65% of 160? Show your work
vladimir2022 [97]
0.65/100 = x/160 Ok, until now?

You then find the cross product: (0.65)(160) = 100x

104 = 100x        104/100 = 1.04

So x = 1.04 and it is also 0.65% of 160

Hope this helps!

From the table below, determine whether the data shows an exponential function. Explain why or why not.
Ierofanga [76]
X        Δx                                   y             Δy

3                                               1

1        1 - 3 = - 2                        2             2 - 1 = 1

-1        -1 - 1 = -2                      3              3 - 2 = 1

-3        -3 - (-1) = -2                  4               4 - 3 = 1

So, as you see y in increasing in regular constant intervals, when x also increases in regular constant intervals. => Δy / Δx = constant.

That is the result of a linear function, not an exponential one.

So, the true statement is given by the option <span>(A) No; the domain values are at regular intervals and the range values have a common sum 1. </span>
