To be a triangle
1)sum of two sides should be more than 3d side,
2) 3d side should be more than difference of two other sides.

5+13 > x, ----> x < 18
13 - 5 < x, -----> x > 8

8< x < 18

It looks like only one value of the side can create a triangle,

The probability would be 0.56.

Conditional probability is given as:

P(A and B) = P(A) * P(B|A). In this case, we have

P(E and F) = P(E) * P(E|F) = 0.7(0.8) = 0.56.

Find the amount of cardboard needed to make a box for a single slice of pizza. The box is shoen in the shape of a triangular pri
Molodets [167]
For this case, what you should do is calculate the surface area of the figure.
We have then:
Triangles:
A1 = (1/2) * (7) * (12)
A1 = 42 in ^ 2
Rectangles:
A2 = (1) * (12.5)
A2 = 12.5 in ^ 2
A3 = (1) * (7)
A3 = 7 in ^ 2
Finally, the total surface area is:
A = 2A1 + 2A2 + A3
Substituting values:
A = 2 (42) + 2 (12.5) + (7)
A = 84 + 25 + 7
A = 116 in ^ 2

What is the area of the shaded region?

Answer: _____ mm^2
Deffense [45]
First we would find the area of the entire thing,

A=1/2(base)(height)
so A = 1/2(5)(12) = 30 mm^2

next we find the area of the smaller triangle,
A = 1/2(4)(3) = 6 mm^2

Then we subtract the area of the smaller triangle from the area of the larger one

30-6 = 24 mm^2
