Answer:

$25.00 + $10x = $115.00

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the initial charge of joining is $25. Each class costs $10 each. She spent a total of $115. What we don't know is how many classes she took. With this equation, we can easily find out how many classes she took.

Ms. Mosher recorded the math test scores of six
ale4655 [162]
The mean of the students scores is 81.3, the median is 80.
If Ms.Mosher adds 5 bonus points to each student, the mean and median will both increase by 5 of the six student’s scores!

Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dafna11 [192]

If f(x)= 3x+2 and g(x)= 4x, then

f(x)+g(x) = 3x+2+4x

= 7x+2

For f(g(x)), you work from the inside and work your way out. Another way of thinking is to go from right to left. (Inside/out and right/left are the same simply using different wording).

So what is g(x)? 4x.

Now, you take 4x and plug it into the f(x).

** Math--> English translation:

Look at the f(x) equation. Wherever you see an x in the f(x), replace the x with 4x [because 4x is the g(x)]. Basically, plug the g(x) into f(x).

So:

f(g(x)) becomes

f(4x) becomes

3 (4x)+2 = 12x+2

** Disclaimer: Notation may be inaccurate.

That's your answer. (Usually you leave it as so, but if your instructor wants it factored, then proceed).

As for the third part, I am unsure of a clear answer, so I am unable to provide an answer at the time.

Hope that helped.

Andrej [43]

Answer:

y = -2x -3

Step-by-step explanation:

I love slope-intercept form! lol

y =mx +b

so we have 2 points given: (-1,5) and (4,-5)

to find the SLOPE of the slope-intercept form, we need to subtract and divide

(-5-5)/(4+1)

-10/5= -2 which is our slope

now! lets translate this info into point slope form. y - y1 = m (x - x1)

(-1,5) and we kno the slope is -2.

y - 5 = -2 (x - (-1))

y-5 = -2(x + 1)

y-5 = -2x -2

add five

y = -2x -3    we are back to slope intercept form! YAY!
