It's tough to pick just two, since all but the first one are really anti war looked at from a mother's point of view. I can't imagine a mother would actually feel this way, but given that she does, the most powerful statements against war is the last line (the purple one) and the third one. The last one may not be correct, but it certainly reflects the author's position.

juin [17]

Answer:

Linking verbs are italicized, prepositional phrases are in bracket, while predicate adjectives are underlined.

1. Great men are not (always wise).

2. A good name is priceless.

3. The day is cold and dark.

4. We should be reasonable.

5. No one is good (at this).

6. The sword is quick and powerful.

7. The rich man is wealthy (beyond imagination).

8. The sky grew dark (as the storm approached).

9. The hamburger tasted greasy.

10. She remained haughty (throughout the entire discussion).

Explanation:

A prepositional phrase is used to modify a verb or a noun and usually begins with a preposition, an object and sometimes a word that modifies the object. A predicate adjective modifies the noun in a sentence and the adjective is usually connected to the subject through a linking verb.

In question 2, the subject, "Good men", is qualified with the adjective, priceless. The linking verb, "is", connects the subject to the adjective. The prepositional phrases usually begins with the preposition.
