How do a psalm of life and auspex differ in how they describe the concept of time?
Arisa [49]

The correct answer is:

"Psalm" suggests that the passage of time cannot defeat the soul, while "Auspex" indicates that it can.

"A Psalm of Life", usually subtitled "What the Heart of the Young Man Said to the Psalmist", is a poem composed by American writer Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

James Russell Lowell (1819-1891) was an American poet and diplomat.

They both were part of the Fireside Poets, a group of New England writers among the first American poets who competed with British poets.

WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST, STARS, AND HEARTS!!!
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

Nick Carraway, Tom Buchanan, Daisy Buchanan, and Jay Gatsby

Explanation:

Nick Carraway

The novel's narrator, Nick is a young man from Minnesota who, after being educated at Yale and fighting in World War I, goes to New York City to learn the bond business. Honest, tolerant, and inclined to reserve judgment, Nick often serves as a confidant for those with troubling secrets.

Tom Buchanan

Powerfully built and hailing from a socially solid old family, Tom is an arrogant, hypocritical bully. His social attitudes are laced with racism and sexism, and he never even considers trying to live up to the moral standard he demands from those around him.

jay gatsby

Gatsby is a dreamer, constantly envisioning a better future for himself and focusing on what is possible, rather than what is practical. Like many Intuitive personalities, he often seems somewhat distracted or detached from what's happening around him.

What is an example of ignorance and stupidity ?
NISA [10]

Answer:

Stupidity is when you know you'll get run over by a car if you run in the road, but you do it anyway. Ignorance is when you're being not very smart about something you don't know much about. Ignorance has two meanings. You can either be ignorant about something you know, or ignorant about something you don't know.

PLZ HELP!! DONT UNDERTSAND ENGLISH!
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

Atticus says that Bob Ewell must be crazy to attack Jem and scout, it is the only explanation he could think of that will justify a man to attack innocent children.

Heck Tate disagrees and says Bob Ewell was just mean and had enough liquor in him to make him brave enough to attack children, implying that he  was a coward.

Of the two, Heck Tate's explanation is the most correct and the one that aligns with how I feel about Bob Ewell.

Explanation:

Atticus cannot understand what could possibly make a man want to kill children unless the man is mad, so he says Bob Ewell was crazy.

Heck Tate however, assures him that Bob Ewell was not crazy but just "mean as hell" and a coward on top of that, so his attack on the children was inevitable.

Heck Tate's explanation is the correct one.
