The formula for surface area of a cube is 6a square
and we were only given on side which is 2  1/2
SA of the cube = 6 (5/2)square
                          = 6(25/4)
                          = 150/4
                          = 37.5

Claire made 1⁄2 pound of trail mix. If she puts 1⁄4 pound of trail mix into each bag, how many bags are filled?
castortr0y [4]
There's 2 bags filled. 1/2 is equal to 2/4. If Claire does put 1/4 pound of trail mix into each bag, like the problem said, then she fills 2 bags.

On average, 15 minutes elapse between discoveries of fraudulent corporate tax returns in a certain IRS office. What is the proba
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

The probability that more than 30 minutes will elapse before the next fraudulent corporate tax return is discovered=0.1353

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

\beta=15

We have to find the probability that more that 30 minutes  will elapse before the next fraudulent corporate tax return is discovered.

Using exponential distribution

P(X> x)=e^{-\frac{x}{\beta}}

The probability that more than 30 minutes will elapse before the next fraudulent corporate tax return is discovered

=P(x>30)=e^{-\frac{30}{15}}

The probability that more than 30 minutes will elapse before the next fraudulent corporate tax return is discovered

P(x>30)=0.1353

Hence, the probability that more than 30 minutes will elapse before the next fraudulent corporate tax return is discovered=0.1353

Given α and β are Supplementary. Show the necessary steps.
user100 [1]

Answer:

\alpha = 108\degree, \: \beta = 72\degree

Step-by-step explanation:

α and β are Supplementary (given)

\therefore \alpha + \beta = 180\degree.... (1)

It is given that:

\alpha= \frac{3}{2} \beta

Plugging the value of α in equation (1), we find:

\frac{3}{2} \beta + \beta = 180\degree

\therefore  \frac{3+2}{2} \beta = 180\degree

\therefore  \frac{5}{2} \beta = 180\degree

\therefore   \beta = 180\degree\times \frac{2}{5}

\therefore   \beta = 72\degree

\implies   \alpha= \frac{3}{2} \times 72\degree= 108\degree

So,

\alpha = 108\degree, \: \beta = 72\degree

Alicia runs for exercise. If Alicia runs 24 miles in 6 days, How many feet does she run per day.
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

Alicia runs 21120 feet per day

Step-by-step explanation:

24 miles/6 days 5280 ft/1 mile

you would then multiply 24 by 5280 to get 126760

and afterwards you would divide 126760 by 6 to get 21120 ft per day
