Ayn Rand, a Russian-American writer, was the founder of the Objectivism philosophy. According to her, there is no greater goal in life than achieving happiness, that humans should live by his own effort and for his own sake, and should see selfishness as a virtue to accomplish their purpose of living a rich, fulfilling and independent life, and see altruism as a non-practical belief.
The word "Objectivism" refers to a philosophy proposed by Ayn Rand who was an American-Russian writer that proposed the world is objective and therefore exist beyond the individual and can be perceived through the senses. Additionally, Rand proposed the sense of the existence is to achieve the happiness through the individual actions and by the individual freedom the objective word offers and therefore the individual was the one in charge of his own happiness and life. These ideas imply according to the Objectivism and her author Ayn Rand the man exists "for his own sake" which means the goal of man in life is to achieve his proposed of being happy through himself and this is the reason of his life rather than gaining power, becoming wealth or serving other people.
A rethorical question is mostly used to question ourselves or others about something we already know the answer.
