Answer:

Scott - N

Nearly - ADV

Fell - V

From - Preposition

Tree - N

Explanation:

- Scott is a name and "noun is a name of a person, animal, place or thing"

- Nearly is an adverb because it modifies the verb fell to mean to let us know the nature. An adverb is a word or phrase that modifies or qualifies an adjective, verb, or other adverb or a word group, expressing a relation of place, time, circumstance, manner, cause, degree e.t.c

- "Fell" is a verb because it tells us the action of Scott. Verbs are the action words in a sentence that describe what the subject is doing.

- "From" is a Preposition because it links the sentence with a noun which is the tree. Preposition is a word used to link nouns, pronouns, or phrases to other words within a sentence. They act to connect the people, objects, time and locations of a sentence.

- Tree is a noun because a noun is a name of a person, animal, place or thing.

In what way does unferth one of lord hrothgars men challenge beowulf
guapka [62]

A. Unferth blames Beowulf for their kingdom's sorrows.
B. Unferth believes that Grendel is worthy of redemption.
C. Unferth tells the mead-hall that Beowulf lost a challenge to Breca.
D. Unferth is jealous because the woman he loves wants Beowulf and not him.

The correct answer is C, he did say that lie, but Beowulf explained the whole story to the mead-hall. He told them that while they were racing, Breca was attacked by sea-monsters, and Beowulf stopped to save him, and that is the reason why he lost the fight. Had he not stopped to save him, he would have won the challenge.
