Back in the day you were able to buy bubble gum or candy for Penny and it was a big part of a price back in the day. But nothing is a penny anymore and the penny has lost its value. The only thing that the penny would be valued for is Abraham Lincoln on it. Because it was a big part of the US history with Abe Lincoln. Maybe one penny could be preserved for a history site. But other than that it should not even be in circulation anymore because it has no value it has no worth. Because of this I do not believe the penny should be preserved. It just doesn’t have the value that it used to back in the 1980s or even further than that money has took in a revelation many different times and now in 2020 we are looking at making everything electronica so at that point there will be no value in pennies or dollars or anything at that point. And that is my point of view on why the penny should not be preserved.
