Migration is moving to another country to permanently or semi-permanently stay there. It is one of the main causes of population change. The basic principle is when you move from country A to country B, country A loses one citizen and country B gains one. Due to economic and political reasons, the rate of migration is increasing. On one hand, migration can help increase the human resources of countries lacking it. It can help balance population between countries. On another, mass migration can cause economic problems. Currently, Europe is facing major crisis in catering immigrants from Syria and other countries.

The central parts of the three northern territories are covered by the tundra.

Canada, in general can be easily divided by the biomes that cover its territory, by simply saying that the southern half of the country is covered by the taiga, and the northern half is covered by the tundra.

The three northern territories are Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. All of those are in close proximity to the Arctic, and the climate there is very cold for most of the year, with snow and ice dominating the landscape, and having only a very short fresh, relatively cold summer.
