Answer: D. both A and B

Explanation:

Earth is the only planet that is capable of supporting life as we know it due to the presence of temperature, oxygen, an atmosphere and energy.

All the above contribute in the following ways;

 • Atmosphere - The atmosphere is sort of like a protective barrier around earth. It destroys a lot of foreign objects that fall on earth and traps the sun's rays such that we keep us adequately warm. It also contains both oxygen and carbon dioxide which living things rely on.
 • Energy - The presence of energy sources on Earth enables us to be able to survive. Energy sources like fire, water, and solar enable us to do things such as cooking and electricity generation, that ensure our survival.
 • Nutrients - The nutrients available on Earth ensure that living things can grow and survive.
 • Temperature - A very important factor, Earth has the right amount of temperature necessary for the proliferation of life. It is not too cold that living things are unable to metabolize food and freeze and is not too hot that life cannot survive.

porous, water-saturated layers of underground bedrock, sand, and gravel that can yield economically significant amounts of water
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Porous, water-saturated layers of underground bedrock, sand, and gravel that can yield economically significant amounts of water are referred to as aquifers

Aquifers are subterranean formations of bedrock, sand, and gravel saturated with water that can economically produce significant amounts of water.

What is Real Bedrock?

Bedrock is solid rock that lies beneath surface soil or gravel. Sand and other layers on the seabed are also supported by bedrock. Consolidated rock, or bedrock, is solid and strongly bonded rock. Loose-grained unconsolidated rock is often found as subsoil.

Is bedrock really rock?

The bedrock that balances the earth's crust is solid rock. While the entire state is covered by bedrock, Maine is mostly covered by a layer of surface sediment, soil, and vegetation.

vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

D layer is the last layer of the soil that is present at the bottom of other layers having the oldest layers. The bottom layer of soil is formed first and when we go up the age of soil layers decreases because it is formed after the parent soil. The fossil that is present at the bottom layer is considered as oldest fossil as compared to those fossils that are present in the above layers of that soil.
