Why did members of the Latter-Day Saints move from New York to Ohio then to Missouri and ultimately to Utah?

History

The early members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) didn't just move straight from New York to Utah... the move took 14 years! So the reasons vary. Only about a year after the Church was organized, most of it's members moved from New York to Kirtland, Ohio. This is because a large group of people in Kirtland had joined the Church, and it was decided that it would be best for the New York members to move to join these new Ohio members. Soon after, some groups of Mormons were sent to Missouri to settle what was intended on being Zion, the headquarters of the Church.

The divine rights of kings was invented by King James 1st. The divine rights of the king was used to give all the power to the king & taking power away from that of the pope. It meant that the king was given their authority under God. Pros of this would be many found after the Enlightenment. The Enlightment brought forth much attention to that of Torture. Queen Maria Teresa, she was an absolute monarch who improved the lives of farmers but this tactic was only used to take away power from that of the Nobles. One bad example would be Ferdinand the 2nd, he created the Edict of Restitution which is a document that returns any German Lutheran to that of Catholicism. This rule had much benefit but it still gave too much power to the monarch and absolutely no power to the people. During this time many monarchs like usually lived on a high Pedestal while their people were living with famine and poverty

What role did the banking system play In Causing the Great Depression?
Contact [7]

Hello,

The banking system created a massive debt during the great depression due to increased investment in the stock market, as well as loaning credit out to people that became unable to repay them. By the time the stock market crashed on October 29th, 1929, the banks had literally run out of money, leaving many people penniless as others tried taking their savings out.
