Answer:

Neurons communicate with each other by synapses

Explanation:

Neurons send signals to other neurons through synapses. The most common type is chemical synapse; a chemical synapse occurs between the axon terminal of the neuron that sends the message and the dendrite of the neuron that receives the message. The first one is known as the presynaptic cell and the last one is known as the postsynaptic cell. Moreover, in a chemical synapse, the presynaptic and postsynaptic cells don’t touch each other as they are separated by a very tiny gap known as a synaptic cleft. The chemical synapse transforms an electrical signal (which is the action potential in the presynaptic cell’s axon) into a chemical signal (which is the neurotransmitter) and back to an electrical signal (the postsynaptic potential) in the postsynaptic cell.

In flowering plants what structure containing DNA is transported from one plant to another
azamat

Answer:

Pollen

Explanation:

Flowering plants are plants classified as Angiosperms. They are the most diverse group of plants in the Kingdom Plantae. Angiosperms or flowering plants as their name implies are characterized by the possession of reproductive structures called FLOWER. The male reproductive flower called STAMEN produces their gamete in a structure called POLLEN while the female reproductive flower called PISTIL contains an ovary that produces egg cells called OVULES.

In flowering plants, the pollen of a male flower is transported to the receptive part of the female flower called STIGMA in a process called POLLINATION. The pollen contains the gamete (sperm cell) that conveys the genetic material (DNA) of the male plant. A fertilized ovule develops into a seed, hence, the reason flowering plants are called SEED-BEARING.

Therefore, pollen is the structure containing the genetic material (DNA) that is transported from one plant to another (same species) in flowering plants.

What type of reproduction do ferns use
Elena-2011 [213]

They both use a reproductive strategy called alternation of generations, where there are two different reproducing morphologies: a diploid sporophyte, and a haplod gametophyte. The sporophyte produces spores by meiosis (2N -> N), which disperse and form the gametophyte, which produces gametes by mitosis (N ->N). Two of those gametes fuse to create a diplod zygote (N + N -> 2N), which becomes the new sporophyte

There are differences between the two types of plants, especially the relative size of the sporophytes and gametophytes, but they both use this kind of reproductive strategy.

A scientist is examining a tissue sample under a microscope. The tissue has a good blood supply, and material secreted by the ce
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

Connective Tissues

Explanation:

According to my research on studies conducted by various medical professions, I can say that based on the information provided within the question this scientist is most likely looking at Connective Tissues. These are tissues in which material secreted by the cells is fills up the spaces between the cells, thus connecting or binding otherwise separate tissues or organs. Which is what the scientist seems to be describing.
