  • The first Africans who arrived in America are by the slave trade made by the Portugues that is they came by the transatlantic trade. Thus the Africans were largely from the Kongo regions of west-central Asia. They were kidnapped by the Portuguese for the slave trade.  
  • Jamestown was made as to the first colony because it needed the large manpower for the cultivation of crops and tobacco. Thus the African who settle in the Jamestown was utilized for the cultivation of crops and farming .
