If there is a high tide in georgia where on earth is it experinceing low tide at the same time?
saw5 [17]

Answer:

The places that will experience low tide will be near the Date Line and the ones roughly between the longitude of 15 and 30 degrees E.

Explanation:

Georgia is a US state that comes out on ocean waters, thus it experiences high and low tides twice a day like any other place in the world that comes out on ocean/sea waters. The high and low tides occur mainly because of the gravitational pull of the Moon which managed to pull the water of the part of the Earth that faces it, thus the water rises on the part, but also on the opposite part of the planet. The low tides occur midway between the two parts of the planet where there are high tides because the water gets retracted from those areas.

The opposite part of the planet relative to Georgia comes to be along the western coast of Australia, parts of Indonesia, and southern China, thus this part of the world will also experience high tide. The parts midway between them come to be between the latitudes of 15 and 30 degrees east, on one side, meaning that South Africa, Greece, and northern Norway will have a low tide, and near the Date Line, meaning that the Pacific islands near the Date Line will also experience low tide.

At which New York State location can intensely metamorphosed surface bedrock be found?
Pachacha [2.7K]

The Adirondack Mountains, the Hudson Highlands, the Taconic Mountains, the Green Mountains, and places like the Central Park, parts of Manhattan Islands, Vermont Landscapes are all filled with metamorphosed surface bedrocks.

Explanation:

The New York State’s geology is very ancient and belongs to the Precambrian era. These bedrocks were metamorphosed sediments formed during the Taconian Orogeny.

The mountainous highlands are composed of sedimentary metamorphic rocks. They are made up of metamorphic rocks like slate, gneiss, schist, quartz, marble, shale, and sandstone.

The mountains in New York State are very old metamorphosed from pre-existing rocks due to exposure of extreme heat and pressure and due to frictional sliding of old rocks.
