Ethnomethodology as a subfield of sociology was developed by Harold Garfinkel. It is the study of how individuals achieve social order through everyday conversation or interactions. Ethnomethodology provides various methods which that can be used in ethnographic studies to provide information of a people or individual's methods for negotiating everyday situations.
Ethnomethodology have been applied in management studies and software designs.
