In the diagram shown below, parallel lines m and n are crossed by transversals r and s. Which of the following is the sum of ang
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

3. 151°

Step-by-step explanation:

Since m and n are parallel, therefore:

m<1 + 75° = 180° (consecutive exterior angles are supplementary)

Subtract 75 from each side

m<1 = 180 - 75

m<1 = 105°

m<2 = 46° (corresponding angles are congruent)

Sum of <1 and <2 = 105° + 46° = 151°

Starting at the same point, Tom and Juanita go biking in opposite directions. If Tom rides at a speed of 20 mph, and Juanita rid
Lorico [155]

Answer:

Concept: Mathematical Analysis

  1. They go in opposite directions
  2. They start at the same point, let's define that as (0,0) on the ordinary differntiable x-y axis
  3. Hence Tom can ride 20 units left in one hour and Juanita can ride 20 units right in one hour.
  4. We want to know the distance they are at the end of 2 hours
  5. So we set up the equation y= 20(x)
  6. Let x be the hours and y be the distance
  7. So 20×2=40 miles
  8. At the end of 2 hours they will be 40 miles apart assuming constant rate of change and a starting point of (0,0)
