You cannot round on a calculator (at least the type I use). You need to learn how to do it yourself, if you are required to round to 3sf look at the 4th digit if it is greater than 5 you round the 3rd digit up and if the 4th digit is less than 5 leave the 3rd digit as it is
eg. 66.7223838
     = 66.7
eg2. 657892354
     = 658000000

Rounding is done by using the following rules:1. If the digit to the right of place of the place you want to round to is 4 or less, then the digit in the place you want to round to will remain the same and the remaining digits to its right are replaced with zeros. a. We will use 4532 and round to the tens place b. Find the digit in the tens place. it is a 3. c. Find the digit to its right. That digit is a 2. d. Since the number 2 is less than 4, the digit in the tens place will remain as is and all digits to its right will be changed to a zero. e. 4532 rounded to the nearest ten becomes 4530.
2. If the digit in the place you want to round to is 5 or more, then that digit will increase by one and all digits to its right will be changed to a zero. a. We will use 6876 and round to the tens place b. Find the digit in the tens place. it is a 7. c. Find the digit to its right. That digit is a 6. d. Since the number 6 is greater than 5, the digit in the tens place will increase by one and all digits to its right will be changed to a zero. e. 6876 rounded to the nearest ten becomes 6880.

Tara has two bags of M&M’s. The first bag contains 6 red, 5 blue, and 4 green M&M’s. The second bag contains 3 red, 2 bl
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

29.6667%

Step-by-step explanation:

In first bag there is 15 M&M's ANd second bag has a total of 9 M&M's so that means there are a total of 24 M&M's.

In the first bag there is 5 blue M&M's and in the second bag there is a total of 2 blue M&M's so there is a total of 7 blue M&M's all together.

so there are 7/24 M&M's ( what were going to do it convert it into percents.

To do this were going to use these steps.

  1. were going to divided the number of blue M&M's by the total of M&M's all together so 7 divided by 24=?
  2. And then next we are going to multiply the result by 100 which=?

Calculations

7 divided by 24=0.291666.

Ok so now what is 0.291666 x 100=?

0.291666 x 100=29.6667 and there is our final answer.

Hope it helps have awesome day:)

in Eduardo’s collection, the number of butterflies is 12 more than twice the number of moths. If there are x moths, write an exp
34kurt

Answer:

An expression to represent the number of butterflies he has is  y = 12 + 2x

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of butterflies in Eduardo’s collection be  y

Then according to the question

The number of moths = x

The number of butterflies y = 12 + twice the number of moths---------(1)

Twice the number of moths = 2 \times \text{number  of moths}

Twice the number of moths = 2x -----------------------(2)

Substituting equation (2) in (1)

The number of butterflies y = 12 + 2x

Which expression is equivalent to 30(1/2x-2)+40(3/4y-4
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

= 15x +30y -220

Step-by-step explanation:

We can easily get another expression if we multiply each individual term, and

add together the result

30(1/2x-2)+40(3/4y-4)

= 15x-60 +30y-160

= 15x +30y -220
