Answer:

The Senate ordered Julio Caeser to withdraw his combat troops, which he refused to do.

Explanation:

In 50 BC, the Roman Senate was controlled by Pompey, who ordered Caesar (after a ten-year successful government in Gaul) to demobilize (nullify combativeness), which was not accepted by Caesar. Caesar followed with his legions to the Rubicon River, easily occupying Rome and thus began an open war against Pompey, seeking Roman rule. After two years of struggle in 48 BC Caesar conquers the battle of Farsalo, Pompey flees, but is killed in Egypt a month later. Caesar conquers the supreme power of Rome.

During his small government, Caesar succeeded in halving the number of Roman citizens dependent on the state's bread ration, and reforming the calendar (main work).

What were some similarities and differences of the American Federation of Labor and the Industrial Workers of the World?
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

There are a few similarities and differences between IWW and AFL.

Explanation:

‘Industrial Workers of the World’ is a labor union and its main aim is to unify the workers so that they can at any given time force the employer to pay them better, may be for shorter hours and give them good conditions to work in. They welcomed all the workers, whether men or women or African Americans, immigrants into same organization.

American Federation of Skilled labor organized the minority of skilled labors into national unions. They defended the rights of skilled labor by asking for shorter working hours and higher wages. But they did have any political interference in their association.

How did successful military campaigns lead to the creation of independent nations in south america?
djyliett [7]

The Spanish king ordered officials to look into the system of forced labor and eventually abolished it. This is how military campaigns were led to creation of independent nations in South America.

Explanation:

The people in Latin America distrusted and feared one another after dissatisfaction with Spanish rule. Sometimes they worked together against the Spanish. But once independence was achieved, the creoles, who had led the revolts, dominated the governments.

The process of independence of the South American countries has more to do with the American Independence and the defeat of the British, as well as the French revolution and the Napoleonic wars. The culture and outlook of the people was inspired from European conquerors and immigrants. The majorities of South Americans speak Portuguese or Spanish and follow Western traditions.

The widespread revolutionary ideals ensuing from these important changes in European political board made locals settlers and non-whites question their allegiance to metropolitan authority, as well as the elite, who were tired of trade restrictions.
