Answer:

Δ PQT ~ Δ QRS  .....{S-S-S test for similarity}...Proof is below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

In Δ PQT

PQ = 30 ft

QT = 28 ft

TP = 20 ft

In Δ QRS

QR = 15 ft

RS = 14 ft

SQ = 10 ft

To Prove:

Δ PQT ~ Δ QRS

Proof:

First we consider  the ratio of the sides

\frac{PQ}{QR}=\frac{30}{15} = \frac{2}{1}            ..............( 1 )

\frac{QT}{RS}=\frac{28}{14} = \frac{2}{1}            ..............( 2 )

\frac{TP}{SQ}=\frac{20}{10} = \frac{2}{1}            ..............( 3 )

So By equation ( 1 ), ( 2 ) and  ( 3 ) we get

\frac{PQ}{QR}=\frac{QT}{RS} = \frac{TP}{SQ}

Now in Δ PQT  and Δ QRS we have

\frac{PQ}{QR}=\frac{QT}{RS} = \frac{TP}{SQ}

Which are corresponding sides of a similar triangle in proportion.

∴ Δ PQT ~ Δ QRS  .....{S-S-S test for similarity}...Proved

Find the product of two numbers whose sum is 11 and difference is 3.
Nuetrik [128]
Answer: I think it’s A - 28

Step by step:

For the sum : if you add 11 + 17 it gives you 28.

For the division: if you divided 28 by 3 it would equal 9.3.

So I think it’s 28 I’m not so sure

The question is on the image<br>by the way the 20cm is meant to be 15cm
Volgvan

Answer:

  2.36 liters

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume Janet wants is 1/3 of 1/2 of the volume of a sphere with radius 15 cm. The formula for the volume of a sphere is given.

<h3>Application</h3>

The water volume is ...

  V = (1/3)(1/2)(4/3π)(15 cm)³ = 750π cm³ ≈ 2356 cm³

There are 1000 cm³ in 1 liter, so Janet needs about ...

  2356 cm³/(1000 cm³/L) = 2.356 L

Janet should put about 2.36 liters of water in the fish tank.
